For atraumatic extractions, OTA periotomes compare favorably to competitive units costing almost twice as much. They feature strong, one-piece construction and the apical end is fl at so it can be used for tapping. You can use a mallet with minimal vibration.

OTA periotomes come in four diff erent blade configurations—thick, thin and two angled—and are color-coded for easy identification. Gold and blue periotomes are indicated for buccal and lingual/palatal sides of the tooth. Gray periotome is for the mesial and distal sides of the tooth.

Periotomes are provided non-sterile and must be sterilized prior to clinical use. They are available in sets of three or four, and also individually.
